Our Triage & Appointment Process

We operate as an urgent care facility, meaning our schedule is designed to prioritize patients based on medical need.

When you arrive at your scheduled time, a technician will triage and assess your pet’s vitals and condition. This helps us ensure every pet gets the appropriate level of care. Following this assessment, we will provide an estimated wait time for your exam with the veterinarian.

If the wait exceeds 30 minutes: You are welcome to leave your pet in our care; we will call you with updates and when the veterinarian is ready to discuss treatment. Alternatively, you are welcome to wait with your pet in an exam room, our lobby, or outside.
Priority Care: Please understand that patients experiencing life-threatening emergencies—such as respiratory distress, seizures, or active bleeding—must be prioritized for immediate intervention. We appreciate your patience and understanding, as this ensures we can provide life-saving care to those who need it most.

About Us

Pet Urgent Care is a privately owned clinic created to fill a critical gap in veterinary services in the Winchester area, providing fast, same-day medical care for pets when their regular veterinarian isn’t available and a full emergency hospital isn’t necessary.

The practice is owned by Dr. Adrianne Doering and her husband, whose shared commitment to compassionate, accessible veterinary care shapes everything we do. Alongside them is Associate Veterinarian Dr. Cheryl March, who brings expertise and dedication to every patient she sees.

As pet owners ourselves, we understand how stressful unexpected illness or injury can be for both pets and their families. Our urgent care model is built around timely, expert treatment delivered with compassion, honesty, and transparency, helping pets get the care they need without the long waits and high costs often associated with emergency hospitals.

Billing & Payment

Payments Accepted
Payment is due at the time services are rendered. We accept cash, CareCredit, and all major credit and debit cards. Clients paying with cash receive a 3.5% discount.

Fees & Estimates
The examination fee is $95. If additional diagnostics, treatments, or procedures are recommended, a detailed estimate will be provided beforehand so you can make informed decisions regarding your pet’s care.
